I had been keeping tabs of my mileage meter in my car….it finally hit 67,000kms and it had become time to take it to the car clinic. Sigh….if you are a BMW owner…the sigh is hard and deep. If you’d like to know the extent of ‘makan roti saja bulan ni’, check out the lengthy threads on the BMWClubmalaysia forum on service and maintenance costs. In the forum, the parang/knife used by BMW car workshops are measured by ‘long’ or ‘short’ parang….the longer and bigger the parang…the more your throat is cut, of course….
My little darling went to the workshop with no fuss, however, this time round and cost me a tidy RM781 for the following spa treatments:
1. Oil Filter
2. Air Filter
3. Fan Belt
4. Spark Plugs
5. Wiper Set
I used a Semi Synthetic MobileOne Oil. If I’m gonna write about my woes looking for trusty car workshops, this post will be super long. So, I’m gonna give that a miss and instead talk about the great workshop I found lately called Optimum (Kg. Kayu Ara) which specialises in BMWs old and new.
All she needs now is a trip to Cars for that polish, lacquer and wax…..It will be my first usage of the ‘Platinum Cars Card’ *eyes rolling*. Til today I dont know what possessed me to sign up for that package….
