Parie Day 2 – Aimless roaming & the Louvre

Contrary to the odd cloudy weather reports, Day 2 was beautifully sunny and warm. Chilly in the morning and at night but rather hot during the day. First of May is a big public holiday in France and Europe and every single shop was closed for business (except some souvenir shops- which, obviously, thrived). Tourists and locals (including yours truly) roamed the streets and mostly hung out at cafes al-fresco. Very Parisian.

After breakkie, we headed to the Louvre, thinking it would be open. It wasnt, so we had a thrill time just hanging around being trigger happy with our cameras.

Been trying to get a good shot of the Parisian culture for ages! Finally, a monkey face one surfaced. Mostly people bask in the outdoor sun having EUR$5 coffees and Coke.

Window theraphy for those unable to access into the Louvre today. Quite magnificent.

We met a couple with their 2 kids outside the Louvre from Germany. The lady was a Singaporean married to a German – needless to say their baby girl and son were adorable. We made friends, had lunch and wow – u can make friends anywhere, can’t you?
