Tonight Vern’s Penang School of Tomorrow’s Principal Mrs Julia Chong and her husband Pastor Clement came over to our house in PJ from Penang. She brought with her pictures, a video of Vern’s talent night held last month where he played the electric guitar and brought back his PSP which he had lent a friend. He looked so COOL! My little bro is so awesome.
Sister Julia told us that all his friends at Penang ACE Homeschool were crying and so upset about Vern. They loved him tremendously and they sat together and prepared these photos and cut out all the little doodlings and drawings Vern done while at school. Thank you so much kiddos…we the family cried looking at Vern’s stuff and it gave us so much comfort that he was happy at school.
Mrs Julia told us that he was the school joker and he really cheered up his friends when they are down. He doesnt pick his friends and gets on well even with the little primary kids.
Sister Julia and Pastor Clement has left over an hour ago but Mum is still watching Vern’s video again and again. Vern had told his friends at school that he was very close to his big Koko and that he missed home. When he talked about home, he was joyful. Julia told us he was very obedient.
He did well for his SAT trials and he was ready for his exam, which would have been tomorrow, Saturday 6th June 2009, right after which he would have come home to PJ.
There are a fair bit of pics on Vern – it lifted our spirits but also we are very sad to see these because we really really miss Vernie.
