As promised, I’m continuing the Bangkok Angeline’s Hens Party saga Part 2. Save the best for last, is what they say. I think the pictures say alot more than the words, so let me maximise that to full effect.
Us eager beavers at the Chatuchak Market. Let me call myself the 'eagerest' beaver - my maiden voyage to Bangkok had my eyeballs poppin out of my head. L-R: Joanna, Loongus, Mua, Jules
The above exhibit is probably only one of the (precious) pics whereby I am not having sweat patches everywhere.
Woman on the right fanning herself with abandon. She actually bought a fan. Manually operated, of course. Woman on left enjoying the downwind.
We still had time for some horsing around in the Hen's Party props before the party (in the privacy of our hotel room). Am not allowed to identify woman on right with beauty mask on.
What trip to BKK is complete without the foot 'massage'?
Headed to Chinatown for dinner. Their Chinatown looks real Chinatown-ish, innit? Thought I had stepped into Hong Kong!
Lebua Hotel - where the strong was made weak. Suffice to say the Hen was successfully down before the stroke of midnight. (Pic from google images)
I believe abit more needs to be commented about the Lebua Hotel at the State Tower in Bangkok. It’s very modern yet old school looking piece of work, where you can tell the ‘upper east siders’ of Bangkok hang out. The lobby had a good mix of old meets new kinda ambience, you feel abit like a queen when you are strolling in.
Spot the anormaly. Since when did Birkie's garner considerable mention worthy enough to be on this signboard? NO BIRKIE'd feet allowed up to their super exclusive DOME restaurant and bar!!!!Ron would be livid if he were there!
A closer look: the following is not permitted: Sandals, Flipflops or BIRKENSTOCK
Well it was all worth the trip when we got to the top, or rather, on the 63rd floor of Lebua Hotel, with a short stopover here first:
Lobby and foyer of Ocean 52 restaurant on (you guessed it) the 52nd Floor of the Lebua Hotel/State Tower. View was already amazing but sorry, no pic taking allowed!!
Absolutely amazing and thrilling. Mind boggling, mind blowing experience! On the 63rd floor of the State Tower now. Sky bar (blue ring at the edge of the building) and Sirocco Restaurant. (Pic from Google images) http://www.lebua.com/bangkok/dining/sirocco
Drinks were terribly terribly triple $$$’ly expensive here. We stuck to merciful cocktails but the Hen had to go down after a B52 Flaming and a Jagermeister Sambucca Shot and all before the clock even struck midnight. I’ll show you.
Me and Angeline the hen. Calm before the storm.
We picked up this poor dude as part of Angeline's first hens challenge. And he was for keeps for the whole night! Awesome! L-R: Jules, Mua, Thijs (pronounced like Thai-es, from Holland), Angeline, Joanna and Jess.
Ahaackk Ahhacckk oh, this is eassssyyy. Sap sap SUI! Jagermeister Sambucca Shot sits innocently in front of the Hen.
She refused to wear the Bunny ears a short while after the drinks kicked in.....swapped 'em for Joanna's naughty ones
The Dome on the 63rd Floor of the State Tower - the view was awesome but my pic quality was bad for the night shots, so yea, you just get the Dome.
OK night shot with lens condensation and subject grinning-like-an-idiot gives you the pic above. But a fantastic view behind - you get the picture.
Round 2. The Hen is noticeably absent. We had to self-entertain by heading to a bar near the Hotel (after depositing Hen) for decent drinks.
Ahhh, the things we go through to ensure we don’t miss our single-dom lifestyles after we get married to the love of our lives! Whatever you do, make it a night to remember.
And after 2 days, we are thoroughly Sawadeekapppp'ed out!
The trip was very short and sweet. A few things we girls did bordered on sheer lunacy but those have now become private jokes and videos!!! Where are we going next, girls?
